1. Our teachers are our employees, not independent contractors using our space.

This means we can guarantee our quality of instruction is consistent from teacher to teacher. It means we are able to offer our teachers hands-on supervision and support. And it allows us to continually evaluate and develop our methods toward the best instructional environment possible.

2. Our studio is owner-operated.

Mark has a Bachelor of Music from The University of Miami and an MBA from Lehigh University. He is at the heart of everything at the studio, and plays a very active role in every program we offer. Mark is committed to operating a studio where parents and students have direct access to the owner.

3. Our teachers are University-educated musicians.

Our faculty comes from some of the top music schools in the country. All of our teachers are performing artists in the New York City area, and are also passionate about music education. Each has the skill to foster a solid musical foundation in their students. We are extremely proud of our faculty.

4. We balance creativity with the fundamentals.

We focus on the basics of music (reading, theory and repertoire). This is essential and our primary focus. We also allow each student to play the styles of music they’re most passionate about. We expose students to new artists and genres, and strongly encourage composition and creativity as a part of the learning process. We aim to keep students excited about their lessons, while giving them the essential tools to become well-rounded musicians.

6. Our recitals are a student’s first gig.

We host our year-end recitals in a local music venue, with a real stage and a real audience! Families are invited to relax in a casual setting and enjoy food and drinks, while students perform pieces alongside their teacher. It’s an exciting experience for students. And because we schedule our recitals into brief recital groupings, parents have a great time, too.
