We are thrilled to share some great news about Cameron Macintosh. Cam has been selected to perform as part of the 2012 Grammy Jazz Band in Los Angeles! This is a major accomplishment and a huge honor, as the Grammy Band is made up off some of the most talented young musicians from across the country. We are extremely proud of Cam, all his hard work and what he has accomplished at such a young age. Cam, just 15 years old, started his music training at Mark Murphy's approximately 6 years ago, and has since returned to prepare for the upcoming Grammys.
Last year the Grammy Band performed alongside Grammy winner Esperanza Spalding, and this time around he will be playing at the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala honoring none other than Sir Paul McCartney. The band will spend a week performing with many other celebrities including Anthony Hamilton (2012 Grammy Winner) and Terri Lyne Harrington (past drummer for Herbie Hancock), and will be recording an album at Capitol Records Hollywood which will be available for purchase on Itunes. The week will culminate with their performance at the Official After-Party for the Grammys, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Congratulations Cam from everyone at the studio on this amazing opportunity!
